Half of these are neither bilingual NOR secret! Bilingual suggests they are totally fluent, almost native speaker level. And it doesn’t seem they’re being very secretive, showing off their abilities in interviews. This may seem petty and pedantic to point out, but by giving the ones with pretty basic language skills an undue amount of credit, it causes resentment among ‘civilians’ who’ve spent years studying a language and often living abroad under difficult circumstances. I understand that Jackman, Cavill and Pratt get clicks, but think there are quite a few actors out there who have done a far better job of learning another language to a very high level, without having grown up in a multilingual household.
they’re actors. Pronunciation is everything. That doesn’t mean they’re bilingual. They just read lines and memorize how to ask for the bathroom. jesus christ..
Almost all the non-american/anglophone actors are secretely bilingual / if this is “bilingual” to you 😀
@3:09 the flag japan and spanish get it wrong
Lupita being multilingual isn’t a surprise. Ive met Africans from many countries, never one who spoke fewer than 3 languages…. including the children.
I once read a mathematics paper in Romanian. I don’t speak Romanian, but it wasn’t too hard for me, because I was familiar with the subject matter.
One mathematician I knew (can’t remember who, maybe Vladimir Arnold?) said, “All European languages, same.” And I can understand why he said that.
Voyage of the Mimi! OMG, I remember that show! Never in a million years would I have guessed that was Ben Affleck.
You left out Christoph Waltz – German, English, French & Italian at least.
He would be one the villain list.
4:24 portuguese with a brazilian flag! Why not french with a belgium flag?
Or English with an American flag 😂
Not to be mean but knowing a few words and memorising lines doesn’t make you a speaker of the language. Almost none of them are multilingual nor even close to be bilingual.
Nice video, pitty you put a IDF soldier in it…
Ben Affleck would speak Spanish with a super try hard accent. His favorite sentence is “Soy mejor que ustedes” 😂😂
