    Not a fan of the fact that there’s a huge time period between you not getting the payment and you “putting the word out” via blue board and whatnot. I feel that during this timeframe (which is more than a month or so as you’ve mentioned) they can scam so many other people and bail without issues.

    Also, non-members on proz can only see the total rating of the agency and not the individual feedback which is also not something I’m a fan of

      Hi Sam, fair enough, but I do feel like there are so many things that can cause a late payment that are not malicious. So it wouldn’t be fair to blast them a day or two after the due date, because you never know the reason. But yes, a month is maybe too long. And Proz offering premium services to premium subscribers is just business 🙂 makes sense to me. Thanks for watching the video!

    Great video again, thanks! I’m really glad you added to spread the word if they don’t pay. I find many translators complain, but then don’t make it known publicly, which means other colleagues will get cheated by them again.
    One thing I would add has to do with excuses. Especially (from agencies) saying “I’m still waiting for the end client to pay me”. Many translators accept this as a reason, but if your contract is with the agency, then you shouldn’t assume the risk of the end client paying/not paying. The agency picked the end client, so they assume that risk. Regardless you should get paid for your work.

    Hi! Can you, please, make a video about such translation/transcription/subtitling sites as rev, transcribe me and especially remote translation at impulse inc? Are they legit or is it a scam? Because I wanted to register on impulse inc and to start working or even to sign up I need to pay money and I am afraid it can be a scam

      Hi there, they are not necessarily a scam, but I will definitely not promote them. They exploit people around the world and view you as a machine rather than a person. You can definitely not build a profitable and sustainable business with platforms like this.
