The word “Jien” reminds me a lot of the french word “Je”

    • @Langfocus says:

Yeah, the etymology I found for the word says that it comes from Arabic anā, but I said to some of the participants that it seems to me like it might have also been influenced by Sicilian iu/jù. Words do sometimes have a dual etymology like that.

  • @hoangkimviet8545 says:

    Maltese, Arabic with Latin alphabet.

  • @aliali-ce3yf says:

I wonder if there are common Maltese names that are Arabic derived

  • @Nick-zl5xf says:

I’m a non native speaker of Arabic and found Maltese really easy to decipher when I read a few sample passages. Really interesting to see an Arabic language in Latin script

  • @christianpumar says:

Please make a series about names and last names 🔥🔥🔥

  • @AcrabatX says:

Hey Langfocus! Can you please tell me the music you used in the maltese video at the start when talking about the language

  • @AcrabatX says:

Maltese is a very interesting language
It is nice you acknowledge languages like these that are not spoken much

Just want to take a minute to appreciate all effort that goes into your production values. The slides on top and bottom, subtitles, the way the words are highlighted in various colours to make it easy to follow along, and even the animation in some of your other videos.
