I think there’s a case for using voice messages for prospects (which is what I think you’re referring to) because like you say, it makes you stand out.
One concern I have is when you use voice messages to send important details or lots of information, because it’s harder for the recipient to get those details out. The recipient has to listen to the whole message, maybe multiple times, to get those details, so that’s actually less efficient for them.
But for making a good, personalised first impression, I think it’s something to try.
